Early Childhood
Yeshivat Yavneh’s Early Childhood program is grounded by Torah values and inspired by emergent learning modalities such as Reggio Emilo and Montessori. Our program fosters in our young explorers a love for learning, creativity, and empathy.
We have combined this approach with a curriculum that is creative, hands on, and developmentally appropriate. As such, we give children the opportunity to interact in a meaningful environment where they can construct new ideas, develop critical thinking skills, reason, question, problem-solve, and experiment, as they discover who they are and where they fit in the world around them.
We use a developmental approach to learning; our instruction considers the student’s developmental age and stage. Our goal is to meet the children where they are at, and by providing an education that is stimulating and inviting, support their journey of self-discovery. Teaching in this way produces children who are confident in their ability to learn and relate to the world around them, thus developing positive relationships with other children and adults.
Our wonderful faculty is filled with teachers who are highly skilled, loving and provide the most warm and rich learning experience for each student placed in their care. Each of our classes have at maximum 4:1 ratio between students and teachers for optimal individualized attention.
Much of the learning and growth that ECD experiences takes place on over 20,000 square feet of campus. The tailored Early Childhood yard creates a magical oasis for our children that includes our Art and Discovery Zone, multiple play structures and an expansive bike path, sand zone, and creative play arena.
Through connection, play, and creativity, children build the foundation necessary to become leaders of their own learning.
"Our goal is to meet the children where they are at, and by providing an education that is stimulating and inviting, support their journey of self-discovery."
